Visitors and Thanks

President Euon welcomed President Judith Gray and all our friends from the Rotary Club of Tawa. Partners of our members were also greeted with warmth. Cris was present as usual. Euon also thanked Allan and Barbara Nichols and their team for planning and organising what was a tremendous evening's entertainment. At the end of the evening he reiterated his thanks and farewelled all the visitors who helped make the meeting so vibrant.

President Judith thanked our Club for our hospitality and also thanked us for our support of their annual Book Fair.

The Speaker said

There was no speaker on such an auspicious evening but Kay Phillips has written a vivid story about the enjoyment had by all during the evening which you can read here.

This week's happenings

Peter and Alison Cox tell us that the total collected at the Porirua New World site on 19 October for the Blind and Low Vision Appeal was $879.50. This made us the top collection site on Saturday for which we can be truly delighted. Some credit must surely go to John Hughes and guide dog Victor from Whitby who spent many hours supporting the team at Porirua New World The grand total collected in Porirua was $5929.20.

Mana Zonta have sent us their November newsletter. It reminds us about the Inside Out Concert at Arohata so if you want to go and haven't bought your ticket yet, you'll find all the details you want in the document.
