Monday 25 May 2015 saw Jess and her host parents, Ron & Jenny, as guests of the Rotary Club of Upper Hutt. The meeting was held in a functions room at the Porterhouse Blues Restaurant warmed by a lovely log fire and with a welcoming group of 20 or so members. This club is about to host a student from Brazil and they were keen to hear from Jess about her preparations to be an exchange student and her impressions of life in New Zealand. The members also wanted to get some idea of what to expect of an exchange student.
As always, Jess spoke very well and gave a good overview of her build up to this year. She is a credit to herself and her parents. As her host club we are very fortunate to have such a shining example of an exchange student.
