Arrive early as the event will start right on time

It's that time of year again when the Rotary Clubs of Porirua and the Porirua City Council honour primary schoolchildren. Principals from the thirty-two schools in Porirua with primary students are asked to put forward two children whom they consider to be leaders in their school and who, in their opinion, uphold the values of leadership, service (above self) and are role models.

The celebration of these students will be held at Elim Church in Porirua on Monday, 27 August 2018 from 10.30-12.00.

The students, senior representatives from the colleges in Porirua, principals and teachers, families, caregivers, Rotarians, and a large number of invited guests will be there to honour these students.

Mayor Mike Tana and Judge Andrew Becroft will be among the speakers and each student will receive a certificate and a badge to mark the occasion.

Elim Church is a big hall. If you find that you know any of the students who will be recognised, please come along to help to honour them. Having said that, obviously primary and secondary school students, their school representatives, immediate whanau and invited guests will take precedence with the seating. It may be standing room only!
