Rotary Club of Plimmerton
Hi, my name is Helena Sader Heck.
I am 18 years old and I am from Brazil, Sertãozinho, State of São Paulo, District 4540. I live with my parents and I have an older brother, 26 years old, who is a doctor. My uncle and my aunt were the Rotary District Governors in 2013/2014. My aunt's parents were also the District Governors in 2008/2009.
I am studying at Tawa College during my year in New Zealand. I am going to start year 13 this year. I consider myself a shy and sometimes quiet person.
I chose to be an exchange student specially to grow up more, learn how to be more independent and maybe lose some of the shyness I have. Also to learn a new culture and language.
I chose New Zealand because it is one of the most beautiful and safest countries I have ever seen. I am really enjoying all my time here! My dream is to be a doctor, maybe a surgeon. I used to spend almost all my time back home studying for the university exams!
