In November last year a proposal from Papakowhai School for assistance with funding for their new school and community playground was put to the Board of the Rotary Club of Plimmerton. It was agreed to donate $5000.00 to add to the $35,000.00 already raised by lots of hard work on the part of many school parents.
This morning at 8.30am Past President Ron Lucas and Jenny attended the opening of the colourful new playground. It was duly blessed, then the ribbon cut and suddenly hoards of youngsters had their first play on the brightly coloured new equipment.
